Blogging to me is communication about my purpose in life & to help others eventually through that positive blog. Jason on aopinionatedman.wordpress.com has it pretty much figured out most likely due to three things 1) he’s a good communicator 2) he knows the technology and keeps current on posting and blogging and 3) he is doing what he is passionate about-being true to himself regardless of ‘offensive’ remarks or how it might be taken. I hope you get an opportunity to check Jadon and his blogs out. There’s really something for everyone.
People often email me for advice and their emails are usually very “general” in nature. They will ask for “blog advice,” but what does that really mean? It comes down to one question for me really.
What is your goal with your blog?
It is an important and necessary question because your goals and reason for blogging directly determine what you should be doing each day on your blog. Different goals obviously constitute different daily activities and that should make sense in the long run to most bloggers. Understanding that we are all here for different reasons, want different things, and have different views is the first step in understanding blogging and what blogging is. We are all not here to accomplish the exact same milestones and because of that our focus on our blogs will differ. I am not here to blog “like you.”
